The France squad arrived in Austria on Tuesday (31st May) for a training camp ahead of Euro 2016 with coach Didier Deschamps saying the facility in Neustift im Stubaital was "ideal" preparation for the tournament on home soil.

The France squad arrived in Austria on Tuesday for a training camp ahead of Euro 2016.

The accomodation facility - Spa-Hotel Jagdho - is located in Neustift im Stubaital, Tirol.

The host nation of the European Championship will stay at the training camp from 31st May to 4th June.

The players and coaching staff received a warm welcome from Governor of Tirol Guenther Platter and a band playing traditional music,

Deschamps' men will train at an altitude of 1000 metres on the UEFA-compliant pitch in a stadium in Neustift and use training pitches in the nearby village of Fulpmes.

Spain used the very same training camp facilities in 2008 ahead of winning Euro 2008, which was hosted in Austria and Switzerland.

After arriving at the hotel, coach Didier Deschamps said the venue was "ideal" preparation for the upcoming international tournament.

The 1998 World Cup winning captain discussed the changes he would like to see in Paul Pogba's contribution to the team and reflected on the security threat that Euro 2016 may face.

On Monday, France defeated Cameroon 3-2 in their latest international friendly.

Their final friendly before their opening match against Romania in Group A of Euro 2016 will be against Scotland in Metz on Saturday.
